Antenatal Care

Pregnancy can be an exciting and stressful time with so many things happening and changing with your body. Having ongoing guidance and assistance from a dedicated specialised medical professional throughout your pregnancy allows for a seamless and smooth pregnancy.

PREGNANCY SUPPORT AND ONGOING CARE

With so many things happening during this time and changes happening to a woman’s body it is important to have a supportive general practitioner who is able guide you through this process.

Our doctors want to ensure you are well looked after and enjoy your pregnancy. They offer shared antenatal care and are able to support you during all three trimesters.

With everything from initial advice and education on nutrition and exercise to ensure a healthy pregnancy, to general check-ups and finding appropriate solutions to any health concerns or previous pregnancy issues, our doctors will give you added peace of mind when it comes to being prepared for your new arrival.

Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters (12weeks long) and at 40weeks the pregnancy is at full term. Each stage requires different level of nutritional demands, examination and investigations.

The recommended minimum Ante-Natal Schedule is can be found at the QLD Health Website with a checklist.
