Dr Shay graduated and obtained her MD degree at the University of Sydney in 2020. Since then, she has worked in a number of hospitals throughout north and south Queensland building her knowledge base.

During her hospital training, she worked in various surgical rotations; including Plastics and Reconstruction, Maxillofacial, Neurosurgery, General Surgery and Orthopaedics. She then received additional training in Critical Care Medicine at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Dr Shay enjoys utilising her previous training within general practice with a special interest in procedural work and values the opportunity to support patients one on one in the community.
