Both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are available at our practice. Bookings are available online or over the phone.

Pfizer is available to all patients over the age of 12.

Our practice is not able to give COVID-19 vaccines to non-Medicare cardholders.

How will vaccines be administered at Racecourse Village Medical Practice?

We plan to run COVID-19 vaccination clinics at various times during the week to provide the best opportunity for our patients to be vaccinated. Please book online for a suitable time.

How can I book an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccination?

Please click the "Book Now" option on our website and choose an appointment for a COVID vaccination.

Please ensure you have not had another vaccination within 2 weeks of your COVID-19 vaccination appointment (this includes your flu vaccination).

What should I expect at my COVID-19 vaccination appointment?

You will receive a text message link to complete a COVID-19 vaccination consent form prior to your appointment. (If you are unable to complete the electronic form, you will be provided with a paper copy when you arrive for your appointment.) Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.

Please wear clothing that will enable you to expose your upper arm. You will need to remain in the clinic for observation for at least 15 minutes after your vaccination. Your doctor will advise if you need to stay longer.

Please be aware that there will not be time to discuss any questions or queries during your COVID-19 vaccination appointment, so please be sure to book in with your GP at an earlier date to discuss any concerns.

What should I bring to my appointment?

If you are an existing patient, please ensure you bring your current Medicare card and a form of ID.

If you are a new patient to the practice, you will need to provide a shared health summary or certificate with proof of eligibility from your regular GP.
